ChainArgos at INSEAD: Stablecoins, Payments and the Foundations of Trusted Digital Finance
PATRICK TAN JOINS INDUSTRY LEADERS TO EXPLORE STABLECOINS, PAYMENTS AND IDENTITY AT INSEAD’S ASIA CAMPUS
Introduction
Singapore – ChainArgos General Counsel and Co-Founder Patrick Tan spoke at The Future of Digital Finance: Infrastructure, AI & Regulation on 9 October 2026 at INSEAD’s Asia Campus in Singapore.
Patrick joined the Stablecoins, Payments & Identity Rails panel, bringing ChainArgos’s perspective on blockchain intelligence to a conversation spanning stablecoin issuance, digital asset infrastructure and identity verification.
The event brought academic, industry and policy perspectives together around a practical question: how can the next generation of financial infrastructure earn the trust of the people and institutions using it?

Stablecoins and Payment Infrastructure
The panel’s focus connected three closely related parts of digital finance: the assets used to transfer value, the infrastructure that moves them and the systems that establish who is participating.
For ChainArgos, assessing that infrastructure begins with evidence. Understanding how assets move, how systems behave and where responsibility sits helps financial institutions and businesses evaluate the services they use. Useful blockchain intelligence should make those questions easier to investigate and the resulting conclusions easier to explain.

Trust, Identity and Accountability
Identity and transaction information answer different questions. Knowing who a customer is provides one part of the picture; understanding the activity associated with a transaction provides another. Bringing these perspectives together requires careful attention to what the evidence supports and where uncertainty remains.
ChainArgos’s work reflects that practical emphasis: clear analysis, transparent methods and conclusions that can be examined. Those foundations matter as digital finance becomes more closely connected to everyday payments and institutional decision-making.

A Wider Conversation on Digital Finance
The programme featured a keynote by Chia Der Jiun, Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Sessions examined public payment infrastructure, trusted digital systems, AI agents on blockchain networks and organisations designed around algorithms.
That wider agenda placed the stablecoins panel in the context of changes across financial services, from how payments are processed to how automated systems make decisions. It also highlighted the value of bringing research, business practice and policy into the same conversation.
